This document presents the expectations for conduct from participants of Rogue League. We have curated a wonderful community, and we must all do our part to protect its integrity. This Code of Conduct ensures Rogue League provides a welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable soccer experience for our community.
Please read the document carefully before registering. Each participant is required to acknowledge the Code of Conduct online before the season begins. Honoring this code is essential to being a part of Rogue League. Even though this is written in a fun and friendly way, we are very serious in our adherence to it.
Here's how we keep things fun and respectful on and off the field:
- Lead with Kindness
- Treat everyone with courtesy and respect, including players, coaches, and fans.
- Play fair, follow the rules, and support each other's efforts.
- We value mutual respect and honesty as the most tangible form of kindness.
- Celebrate Diversity
- Rogue League welcomes all players over the age of 18 and will prioritize an equitable, inclusive environment that fosters diversity and a space for all members to thrive.
- We trust all league participants to embrace the inclusive spirit of a mixed gender league and create teams that represent people with diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to: sex, gender, orientation, physical appearance, race, religion, and lived experiences.
- Keep interactions positive and free from discrimination.
- Prioritize Safety
- Keep the game safe for everyone. No dangerous play or reckless behavior.
- Speak up if you notice any safety concerns on the field.
- In all manners of play, if you see someone crossing a line, call them in (privately, respectfully). “Call-in” is an alternative to “call-out”; it means having a restorative conversation with an individual who has used harmful language or behavior as opposed to making a spectacle out of the incident.
- Positive Attitude
- Bring your best attitude to the game! Offer encouragement and constructive feedback.
- Celebrate good plays and good effort no matter the outcome of the game.
- The team and your soccer community come first, regardless of your talent on the field. This includes managing the intensity of the game and handling personality conflicts with respect at all times.
